Mato Grosso police arrest drug traffickers in Sinop and Cuiabá

In Sinop, the tactical force of the 3rd Regional Military Police arrested a 30‑year‑old suspect after a high‑speed chase. Officers seized more than 2.5 kg of marijuana, cocaine base paste, 20 ecstasy tablets, and R$ 3,400 in cash. The man confessed to selling drugs for over a year and was later linked to additional supplies found at his residence.

In Cuiabá, the 10th Battalion, supported by the Special Operations Battalion (BOPE), detained a 16‑year‑old and a 24‑year‑old during the "Operation Tolerance Zero" against criminal factions. Police recovered 17 portions of substances resembling marijuana and cocaine and R$ 118.55 in cash. Both arrests were part of intensified policing around the city’s bus terminal area.

The operations underline ongoing efforts by Mato Grosso authorities to disrupt local drug trafficking networks.
