Brazil police conduct widespread operations against crime

Various law enforcement agencies across Brazil have conducted numerous operations resulting in arrests for diverse crimes. In Mato Grosso, Operation Nomad targeted a drug trafficking organization in Tangará da Serra and Cuiabá, executing 55 judicial orders. Other regional actions included the arrest of a businessman for receiving stolen coffee in Patrocínio and the apprehension of suspects in a WhatsApp-based relative impersonation scam in the Distrito Federal.

In São Paulo, authorities investigated healthcare contract fraud in Nova Odessa and arrested a duo for extortion using fake spiritual services in Itapevi. Other notable incidents include the arrest of a pastor in Maricá for sexual abuse, the arrest of a couple in Rio de Janeiro for the death of a newborn, and the detention of an Argentine national in Cuiabá for filming children.

Violent crime investigations also continue, including a homicide investigation in Formoso do Araguaia and a case involving the disappearance of a manicure in Taquaritinga. Additionally, police in Rondonópolis recovered stolen air conditioning units, and officers in São José dos Quatro Marcos arrested individuals for drug trafficking.
