Brazil police conduct raids and rescue operation in several states

Police forces in Brazil carried out a series of operations targeting criminal groups in multiple states. In Nobres, Mato Grosso, the Civil Police executed Operation Vigília, fulfilling 26 judicial orders that led to 14 arrests, 12 search warrants, and the seizure of marijuana, cocaine base and mobile phones. In Marabá, Pará, authorities arrested a high‑ranking faction leader, confiscating a firearm and marijuana. In Poxoréu, Mato Grosso, the Military Police detained three gang members, seized seven tablets of marijuana and 19 rounds of ammunition. A joint Civil Police and Municipal Guard operation in Ponta Grossa, Paraná, captured the alleged drug‑trafficking ring leader and executed four arrest and six search warrants. Separately, the Military Police in Pontes e Lacerda, Mato Grosso, rescued ten hostages from a home invasion, arresting four suspects and recovering two firearms and ammunition after a 30‑minute negotiation.
