Mato Grosso Public Ministry launches inclusive education training for officials and educators

The Public Ministry of Mato Grosso (MPMT) opened registration for a two‑day capacity‑building program titled “Abraçando as Diferenças – Escola para Todos,” scheduled for 20 and 21 August in the auditorium of the Cuiabá Justice Prosecutor’s Office. The 16‑hour training, limited to a set number of participants, targets MPMT members and staff, education professionals, and members of the child‑protection network, offering theoretical and practical tools to promote inclusive schooling.

The program will cover inclusive education principles, pedagogical planning, school‑family coordination, specialized educational support, augmentative and alternative communication, assistive technologies, and strategies for creating truly accessible schools. A keynote lecture, thematic panels, the launch of an online course, and a campaign on autism awareness are also planned. Coordinator‑adjunct Patrícia Eleutério Campos Dower said the initiative reinforces the institution’s commitment to the fundamental right to inclusive education and to strengthening public policies for students with special needs.
