Mato Grosso public prosecutor launches theater circuit in 34 schools
The Mato Grosso State Public Prosecutor's Office (MPMT) is rolling out a new phase of its “Prevention Starts at School” project from June to September 2026. In partnership with the Cia VostraZ de Teatro, the initiative will stage two daily theatrical performances—morning and afternoon—in 34 municipalities across the state. The plays, “Innocent Petals Stolen” and “RE‑cuts,” address child sexual abuse, bullying, and the impact of domestic violence on children and adolescents.
The program is coordinated by the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for the Defense of Children and Adolescents, with Justice Prosecutor Paulo Roberto Jorge do Prado emphasizing that prosecutors play a crucial role in linking schools with the protection network and ensuring the outreach reaches the target communities.
