Brazil's Mato Grosso Public Ministry launches women‑support program at Expoagro 2026
The Ministry of Public Prosecutor of Mato Grosso (MPMT) set up a studio for the “Diálogos com a Sociedade” project inside the Parque de Exposições Senador Jonas Pinheiro (Acrimat) in Cuiabá during the 58th Expoagro. The interview series ran from Monday 13 July to Friday 17 July, airing live at 18:00 on SBT Cuiabá and the MPMT YouTube channel. The opening edition featured sub‑procuradora‑geral Januária Dorilêo and prosecutor Paulo Roberto Jorge do Prado, who discussed the “Espaço MP Por Elas” initiative that offers free short‑term vocational courses to women victims of domestic violence, and the “new face of child‑adolescent vulnerability.”
The program provides training in manicure, eyebrow design, digital marketing and financial education at the Shopping Três Américas until 31 July, 13:00‑19:00, with all slots free. A parallel “Cabide Solidário” campaign collects clothing for women survivors. At the Expoagro pavilion, MPMT also presented the “Memorial Observatório Caliandra,” a photographic exhibit of 24 panels honoring femicide victims, and operated a Women’s Ombudsman desk from 17:00‑19:00 each day to offer assistance and legal guidance.
