Mato Grosso tourism survey analyzes visitor habits in Cuiabá and Sinop
The National Tourism Demand Survey (PNDT) has conducted research in Cuiabá and Sinop to better understand the tourism profile in Mato Grosso. A total of 934 visitors were interviewed to gather data on travel habits, spending, accommodation, and motivations for choosing these destinations.
Participants evaluated various aspects of their experience, including infrastructure, security, accessibility, connectivity, prices, and services. The findings, expected to be released in April 2027, aim to assist public managers and private companies in identifying investment opportunities and areas for improvement.
Gláucia Regina da Silva, the Tourism Research and Planning Coordinator for the State Secretariat of Economic Development (Sedec), noted that the data will provide precise information regarding tourist flow. This information is intended to support strategic decision-making and public policies, particularly as the state attracts interest from investors and airlines.
