Matria Cannábica Foundation obtains legal status in Río Negro
The Matria Cannábica Foundation, an organization composed exclusively of women, has obtained legal status in the province of Río Negro, Argentina. Based in Roca, it is the first cannabis-related organization of its kind in the region to receive this recognition.
The foundation aims to integrate health with local territory and ancestral knowledge, specifically drawing from Mapuche-Tehuelche traditions. Its projects include promoting optimal plant and soil development techniques and conducting workshops on bio-inputs.
Additionally, the entity seeks to provide technical and legal guidance to users and families, facilitating access to state programs such as Reprocann. The organization's mission includes destigmatizing medicinal cannabis and offering community support through workshops and public surveys.
