Matrouh Governor Mohamed Al‑Zamuloot Launches Olive Farm Waif Project and Sustainable Development Plans

Governor Mohamed Al‑Zamuloot inspected an olive orchard in Al‑Najila, Matrouh, and ordered a feasibility study for a large, charitable waqf olive farm. The project aims to create a sustainable income source for the most needy families while strengthening the governorate’s strategic olive sector. During the same visit he reviewed the Central Hospital of Al‑Najila, directing a comprehensive audit of medical equipment, medicines and supplies, a reduction in clinic fees, and the deployment of specialised medical caravans and free surgical operations. He also pledged the establishment of a fully equipped cardiac clinic and an endoscopy unit in partnership with the Sharia Association.

Later, Governor Al‑Zamuloot met with Dr. Nasser Fawzy, Director of the National Center for Land Use Planning, to discuss the implementation of Egypt’s Vision 2030 in Matrouh. The discussion covered land‑use optimisation, expansion of agricultural and tourism projects, coordinated planning to maximise the governorate’s natural resources, and the attraction of new investments to generate jobs and boost the local economy.
