Matrox Video and NVIDIA integrate ORIGIN with Holoscan for Media

Matrox Video and NVIDIA have announced an integration between Matrox ORIGIN and NVIDIA Holoscan for Media. This collaboration allows Matrox ORIGIN media services to be provisioned, configured, and deployed within the Holoscan for Media open reference architecture using Kubernetes.

The integration is being demonstrated at IBC2026 as part of the European Broadcasting Union’s (EBU) Dynamic Media Facility. A Kubernetes-native operator developed by Matrox Video manages ORIGIN resources by automatically deploying required pods when new resources are added, ensuring appropriate resource limits and isolation for media functions.

For developers, the Matrox ORIGIN SDK aims to abstract the complexities of media application development, facilitating the creation of software-defined live media applications. The NVIDIA Holoscan for Media component provides an open reference architecture and toolkit for building AI-powered media applications on NVIDIA-accelerated infrastructure. The demonstration includes services such as color correction, media playback, audio shuffling, and Ograf graphics, connecting to the wider deployment via the Media eXchange Layer (MXL).
