The city of Matsudo in Chiba Prefecture will hold the "Matsudo Fireworks Festival 2026" on August 1, 2026. The event will run from 19:15 to 20:20 at the Furukazaki riverbank sports ground and feature an increased display of 12,000 fireworks, including a large 5‑inch shell that rises about 180 m.
Kumagaya in Saitama Prefecture will stage its 74th fireworks festival on August 8, 2026 (postponed to August 9 if weather‑related). The show along the Arakawa Riverbank is expected to launch about 10,000 fireworks and include attractions such as food stalls, a "Star Mine" competition, and a collaborative finale. Both festivals are promoted as important summer attractions for local residents and visitors, with extensive vendor areas and transportation arrangements to manage crowds.
