Matsuya Foods to open two Sushimatsu sushi locations in Tokyo and Chiba

Matsuya Foods is expanding its sushi specialty brand, Sushimatsu, with the opening of two new locations in late September 2026.

The Sushimatsu Senkawa store is scheduled to open on September 24 in Toshima Ward, Tokyo. Located at 3-11-9 Kanamecho, the restaurant will feature 50 seats and operate from 11:00 to 23:00, with shortened hours on its opening day.

A second location, Sushimatsu Yachiyo, will open on September 29 in Yachiyo City, Chiba Prefecture. This branch will offer 73 seats and includes parking for 54 vehicles.

Sushimatsu offers individual pieces of sushi starting from 70 yen (excluding tax). The brand currently operates 20 locations in the Tokyo metropolitan area and two in the Kansai region, targeting a wide demographic including business professionals, seniors, and families.
