Matsuya launches Neo Kashmir Curry nationwide in Japan
The Japanese beef bowl chain Matsuya has launched its new ‘Neo Kashmir Curry’ across its nationwide locations starting October 6. The menu item is a reimagined version of the Kashmir curry previously featured at Matsuya’s curry-focused brand, My Curry Shokudo.
The new curry features a thin, liquid-like sauce that has been simmered to achieve deep richness and a gradual spice stimulation. While inspired by the traditional Kashmir curry style—originally created by the Tokyo restaurant Delhi—this ‘Neo’ version is designed to be more accessible and palatable for a wider audience.
Customers can purchase the basic Neo Kashmir Curry for 680 yen, with lunch sets available between 11:00 and 15:00 for 780 yen. Various combinations are also offered, including toppings such as hamburger steak, cheese, beef stew, and ‘Goro-chiki’ (chunky chicken), with prices ranging from 880 to 1,050 yen.
