Matt Damon says there was no special treatment on Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey' set

Actor Matt Damon, who portrays Odysseus in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming epic "The Odyssey," told People magazine that he received no special treatment during filming. He likened the experience to being on a boat in a storm, saying everyone – including director Nolan – got wet and shared the same hardships, which fostered a strong sense of camaraderie among the cast and crew.

Damon highlighted the film’s demanding production, describing each day as feeling like an expedition, especially the windy beach shoots in Morocco. The ensemble includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Robert Pattinson and many others. A press tour for the movie began with Damon and John Leguizamo in Miami. "The Odyssey" is slated for release in July 2026, with dates such as 16 July in the United States and 17 July in the United Arab Emirates.
