Matt Dinniman's LitRPG series expands into graphic novels
American author Matt Dinniman is gaining significant traction in the LitRPG genre, a literary style that blends traditional storytelling with elements of role-playing games and video games. His popular series, ‘Carl, el Mazmorrero’ (Dungeon Crawler Carl), has seen substantial success, with over 50,000 copies sold in Spain.
The series is expanding across multiple media formats. Originally a series of novels, it has transitioned into a webtoon format and is now being released as a printed graphic novel series. In Spain, the publisher Nova has scheduled the release of several upcoming volumes, with plans for the saga to eventually reach ten installments.
Dinniman recently visited Spain to participate in the Celsius 232 fantasy literature festival in Avilés. His work is noted for its high level of reader interaction, often utilizing platforms like Patreon to allow followers to influence plot directions and support the creative process.
