Matt Miller faces misdemeanor charges following Missouri car accident

ESPN NFL Draft analyst Matt Miller has been charged with a misdemeanor in Jasper County, Missouri, following a June car accident. The charge involves failing to drive on the right half of a roadway, which resulted in a head-on collision with a semi-truck. The accident caused life-threatening injuries to Miller, leading to multiple surgeries and the amputation of his left arm.

The legal issues follow broader allegations of financial misconduct. Miller has faced accusations of fraud involving unpaid winnings from fantasy football leagues, unpaid scouting lessons, and improper fundraising. While Miller frequently claimed to be working with the 417 Foundation, the Missouri Secretary of State had issued a cease-and-desist order to that foundation in 2019. Miller reportedly continued to collect money for the organization after that order.

The Missouri Attorney General’s Office has launched an investigation into complaints regarding financial impropriety involving Miller and the charity. Miller is currently on indefinite leave from ESPN.
