Matt Miller pleads not guilty to Missouri crash charge
Former ESPN NFL analyst Matt Miller has pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of failing to drive on the proper side of the roadway. The charge stems from a June collision in Missouri where Miller’s 2023 Ford Bronco crossed the centerline and struck a semi-truck on U.S. Route 50 near Smithton.
The accident resulted in catastrophic injuries for the 43-year-old, including multiple fractures and broken ribs, which necessitated the life-saving amputation of his left arm. Miller was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Joplin following the crash. A pretrial conference is scheduled for December 8.
Separately, Miller is facing an investigation by the Missouri Attorney General’s Office regarding allegations involving fantasy football leagues. The investigation follows claims that Miller failed to pay out winners or provide services as advertised in paid leagues. No criminal charges have been filed in connection with these financial allegations.
