Matt Rife faces warnings over plans to open Warren Occult Museum

Comedian Matt Rife and YouTuber Elton Castee have become the legal guardians of the Warren Occult Museum and its collection of approximately 750 allegedly haunted artifacts, including the infamous Annabelle doll. Rife intends to reopen the former home of Ed and Lorraine Warren in Salem, Massachusetts, for museum tours and overnight stays.

This plan has drawn significant warnings from paranormal experts and family members. Investigator Philip Siracusa cautioned that public access could be a “risk” and a “recipe for disaster,” suggesting that dark energy could manipulate people. Psychic medium Matt Fraser added that the doll acts as a vessel for “dark, earthbound energy” and warned that increased public attention could intensify these forces.

Chris McKinnell, grandson of Ed and Lorraine Warren, also expressed concern, stating the location was intended to be a “controlled environment” for research and protection rather than a public attraction. He urged Rife to seek guidance before proceeding with the project.
