Sorum noted that while he expected a reunion might eventually occur, he was unaware of the specific arrangements at the time. He expressed contentment with his current lifestyle and independence, noting that he is able to choose his own creative projects.

Reflecting on his personal life, the 65-year-old musician shared that he has remained sober from alcohol for 18 years and avoids drugs, stating that he is in the best shape of his life and prioritizes spending time with his five-year-old daughter.
