Matt Wagner and Nonso Omezi named to Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award watch list

Matt Wagner of Boise State University and Nonso Omezi of Western Kentucky University have both been named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award watch list.

The award, announced by the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce and SPORTyler, recognizes the top offensive player in Division I football who demonstrates qualities such as integrity, teamwork, and tenacity. To be eligible, nominees must have ties to Texas, such as being born there or attending a Texas high school or college.

Wagner, a native of Prosper, Texas, enters his senior season following a campaign where he recorded 34 catches for 359 yards and one touchdown. Omezi, a Houston native, joined WKU after previously playing for Houston Christian and Texas A&M Commerce.
