Matt Willis credits wife Emma for addiction recovery and celebrates her new hosting role

Musician Matt Willis has credited his wife, television presenter Emma Willis, with helping him overcome addiction. Speaking to The Telegraph, the Busted singer noted that having her support was a decisive factor in his decision to turn his life around after hitting rock bottom.

Willis, 43, has been sober for over 16 years and clean for nine. He shared that his recovery was deeply influenced by his family, noting that the guilt of past relapses, such as missing milestones with his eldest daughter, was difficult to bear. He stated that his children have been a beneficial part of his journey and that his family is aware of his recovery.

In professional news, Emma Willis has taken on a new role as a host for the BBC series ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ alongside Johannes Radebe and Josh Widdicombe. Matt Willis expressed pride in her achievement, describing the role as a ‘curveball’ for the couple, though he noted he has no intention of joining the show himself despite previous approaches.
