Matteo Cetinski transitions from music to design and academia
Matteo Cetinski, the younger brother of Croatian singer Tony Cetinski, has undergone several significant career shifts since his musical debut in 1993. Following the success of his song ‘Arrivederci Signorina’ and a Porin award nomination for best newcomer, Cetinski moved away from the music industry to pursue studies in mass communications in Bologna and later a master's degree in New York.
During his time in the United States, he worked at NBC on the program ‘Saturday Night Live’. Upon returning to Croatia, he focused on media production and taught management and media production at various faculties in Zagreb.
In recent years, Cetinski has established himself in the design industry. He has received the ‘A’ Design Award’ in Italy for his furniture collections and has also been recognized for his work in carpet design. Additionally, he launched a line of men's jewelry in 2015.
