Matteo Grillo loaned to Maceratese as Serie C clubs reshape squads
Serie C clubs are actively building their rosters for the 2026‑27 season, with a flurry of signings, contract extensions and loan deals reported on 6 July. The only confirmed transfer is goalkeeper Matteo Grillo moving on loan to Maceratese, a move aimed at giving him regular playing time.
Other notable moves include youngster defender Emanuele Pio Troiano signing his first professional contract, Carpi extending midfielder Matteo Figoli through 2028, and Grosseto adding striker Mattia Gaddini and midfielder Daniele Amedeo. Reggiana secured defenders Matteo Battisti from Lecco and Filippo Berrade from Salernitana, while Torres arranged a loan for centre‑back Mattia Scaringi from Cremonese. Modena is close to finalising the purchase of attacking midfielder Giacomo Olzerdal, and other clubs continue negotiations as the market intensifies.
The activity reflects clubs’ efforts to strengthen their squads ahead of the upcoming campaign, with many transactions still pending finalisation.
