Matteo Renzi mocks Matteo Salvini over election predictions

Matteo Renzi, leader of Italia Viva, has used social media to mock Lega leader Matteo Salvini, labeling him a “reverse prophet” and a “walking macumba.” The criticism follows recent electoral outcomes in Serbia and Brazil, where political allies of Salvini faced defeats.

During a Lega party congress, Salvini had publicly expressed support for Aleksandar Vučić in Serbia and Flavio Bolsonaro in Brazil, describing them as leaders of friendly nations. Renzi’s comments targeted Salvini’s tendency to make political and sporting predictions that ultimately prove incorrect.
