Matteo Stoppa joins Campobasso FC on two‑year deal

Italian forward Matteo Stoppa, born in 2000, has transferred permanently from Calcio Catania to Campobasso Football Club. The clubs announced that Stoppa signed a two‑year contract to provide "quality, experience and creativity" to the Lupi's attack.

Stoppa began his senior career at 16 with Novara in Serie B, later trialed with Manchester City and spent his youth years at Juventus. He has since played for Sampdoria, Juve Stabia, Palermo, Vicenza, Catanzaro and Catania, scoring 11 goals in the most recent season. Campobasso expects his versatility and goal‑scoring record to strengthen the squad for the 2026/27 campaign.
