Matthew Darke and Felicity McMahon plan renovations for Bellevue Hill estate
Legal professionals Matthew Darke SC and Felicity McMahon have filed a development application with the Woollahra Council to renovate their $27 million Bellevue Hill estate in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
The proposed renovations, estimated to cost approximately $2.1 million, include the installation of a new swimming pool, an attic floor, landscaping work, and various updates to the house. The 917-square-metre property, originally designed by architect Leslie Wilkinson, features six bedrooms, five bathrooms, and views of the harbour.
Darke, known for his role as Westpac’s barrister during the banking royal commission, and McMahon, a partner at the law firm Allens, purchased the 1920s-style estate last year. Their previous residence in the same suburb was recently sold for just over $20 million.
