Matthew Hayden criticizes Pakistan cricket instability

Former Australian batter and Pakistan batting coach Matthew Hayden has described Pakistan cricket as a team of ‘dark horses’ due to their phenomenal natural talent, while criticizing the lack of stability within the system. Hayden noted that the team’s potential is frequently undermined by an environment of chaos and inconsistency, which prevents players from focusing their abilities.

Following a series of defeats in a three-match Test series against England, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has implemented significant changes. The board released seven players from the touring squad and introduced five uncapped players for the final Test in Birmingham.

In addition to player changes, the red-ball coaching staff has undergone a major overhaul. The PCB released former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and Umar Gul from their coaching roles. The leadership of Mohsin Naqvi and Aaqib Javed has overseen a period characterized by frequent changes and instability within the cricket structure.
