Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson star in Apple TV+ series ‘Brothers’

The Apple TV+ comedy series ‘Brothers’ stars Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson as fictionalized versions of themselves. The eight-part series is built upon a long-standing Hollywood rumor that the two actors might be half-brothers.

The plot follows the intersecting lives of the two characters: Harrelson plays a free-spirited, vegan anarchist, while McConaughey portrays an orderly man with political ambitions to become the Governor of Texas. The narrative tension arises when McConaughey’s mother, MaMac, suggests the possibility of a shared father during a family weekend at McConaughey’s Texas ranch.

As Harrelson’s character attempts to uncover the truth behind the rumor, the resulting chaos threatens to disrupt McConaughey’s political campaign preparations.
