Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson to star in Apple TV comedy ‘Brothers’
Apple TV has announced the global release of its new comedy series, ‘Brothers’, scheduled for September 23. The eight-episode series stars Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, who also serve as executive producers.
In the show, the two actors play fictionalized versions of themselves. The narrative begins when Woody’s family stays at Matthew’s ranch in Austin, Texas, following a disrupted wedding. The plot takes a chaotic turn when Matthew’s mother suggests that the two long-time friends might actually be biological brothers, prompting a search for the truth.
Lee Eisenberg serves as the showrunner and executive producer, with production handled by Paramount Television Studios. The series will release the first two episodes on the launch date, with subsequent episodes arriving every Wednesday.
