Matthias Koeberlin reflects on life in Cologne and private history

German actor Matthias Koeberlin, known for his role as Inspector Micha Oberländer in the ZDF crime series ‘Die Toten vom Bodensee’, has maintained a largely private personal life. After a 17-year marriage to Diana, a makeup artist from the Rhineland, Koeberlin previously relocated from Berlin to Cologne to be with her.

Koeberlin has expressed a strong affinity for Cologne, noting that he feels ‘quite integrated’ into the city and appreciates the direct nature of the local people.
