Matthias Reim discusses new album and personal life

German Schlager singer Matthias Reim is reflecting on his long career and personal life as he celebrates 35 years on stage. His new album, titled ‘Flashback’, serves as a personal retrospective, utilizing memories and past experiences to craft new music.

Reim, 68, also discussed his personal life, including becoming a father for the seventh time in 2022 at age 64. He noted that while being a father in his 30s provided more physical energy, his current role as a father to his daughter Zoe has brought him a sense of calm and focus that was absent during the more turbulent years of his earlier career.
