Matthias Reim to release new album ‘Flashback’
German singer Matthias Reim is releasing a new album titled ‘Flashback’ this Friday. The 15-track record features a blend of rock and Schlager music and serves as a retrospective of his long career, which began over 35 years ago with the hit ‘Verdammt, ich lieb' dich’.
The creative direction for the album was influenced by Reim’s family. After listening to old demos, his son Julian encouraged him to revisit an early song with an 1980s sound. Reim noted that he intentionally incorporated elements from his past hits, observing that his older songs continue to resonate strongly with audiences during live performances.
