Matthis Abline seeks first goal following AS Monaco transfer

Matthis Abline is adjusting to life at AS Monaco following his high-profile transfer from FC Nantes this summer. The 23-year-old striker joined Monaco in a deal worth 25 million euros, plus 5 million euros in potential bonuses, marking the largest sale in FC Nantes' history.

Abline’s integration was initially delayed by a foot injury that caused him to miss the first three official matches of the season. However, he has recently regained form, starting the last two matches for Monaco. During the club's 2-1 victory against RC Lens, Abline provided his first assist for the team.

Reflecting on his progress, Abline noted that while he is still searching for his first goal under his new colors, he feels he is returning to peak fitness. He also commented on the high standards set by his new coach, Luis Filipe, stating that the team must maintain consistency in both defense and attack.
