Maturín residents demand permanent noise pollution controls

Following a recent deployment by the Maturín Mayor's Office to remove speakers from businesses in the central district, residents are calling for permanent noise pollution controls. While some establishments complied with the removal of speakers, citizens report that excessive noise persists in certain areas, specifically along Bolívar Avenue and Monagas Street.

Local residents expressed concern that the lack of consistent supervision allows businesses to resume playing loud music, which they claim negatively impacts public health. Pedestrians noted that while some areas like Miranda Avenue have seen improvements, others continue to experience chaotic environments due to merchants competing to play music at higher volumes.
