Maturín: Two women killed in hit-and-run during religious walk

Two women, Zoralys Del Valle Guerrero Mendoza and Luisalbys Clarimar Guilarte Velásquez, were killed in a hit-and-run incident in Costo Arriba, Maturín, Venezuela. The victims were walking toward a church in the early hours of Friday, August 14, to participate in a Christian fasting and prayer session intended to pray for the well-being of Venezuela.

According to reports, a vehicle struck both women from behind while they were walking along the edge of the road and subsequently fled the scene. Authorities noted that evidence left at the location may assist in the ongoing investigation.
