São Paulo theater collectives to offer free shows in 18 cities

At least 20 theater groups and collectives will participate in the 2026 Regional Showcase of the Theater Arts Qualification Program (PQT) across 18 cities in the state of São Paulo during October and November. These free performances showcase works developed through artistic guidance from the Culture Professionals Schools, a program under the São Paulo State Secretariat of Culture, Economy, and Creative Industries (CULTSP PRO).

The schedule includes various cities such as Lençóis Paulista, São Caetano do Sul, Mogi Mirim, Santo André, Cubatão, Tupã, São José do Rio Preto, Santos, Jarinu, Paraguaçu Paulista, São Sebastião, Birigui, Teodoro Sampaio, Mauá, Tatuí, and Guaratinguetá.

In addition to the regional theater showcase, other cultural activities are occurring in the region. In Mauá, the cultural agenda includes theater, stand-up comedy, and dance, as well as the Fliped and Expoped literary fairs for people with disabilities. In Macapá, the Cia. Cangapé is bringing free circus performances to residential communities through the 'Circo no Residencial' project.
