Maulana Fazlur Rehman demands parliamentary session on terrorism
Maulana Fazlur Rehman, leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), has called for a parliamentary in-camera session to address the country’s terrorism situation and inform the public.
Rehman questioned the government's stance regarding Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), asking why negotiations were held with the party if it is considered a terrorist organization. He also noted that 250 of his scholars and workers were martyred due to the prevailing atmosphere of terrorism.
Additionally, Rehman highlighted the ongoing security issues in Balochistan and mentioned that while demands were presented following a meeting with the Prime Minister, both the government and the opposition have exchanged accusations of breaking promises. He emphasized that Parliament is the only platform to review the security situation and build national trust.
