Maule Region Expands Public Service Centers in San Rafael and Talca

The ChileAtiende virtual service center was inaugurated in the commune of San Rafael, adding to a network of 17 virtual centers operating in 14 communes of the Maule Region. The ceremony was attended by Mayor Basilio Pérez Díaz, regional director Bernardo Vásquez Bobadilla, and the regional labor and social welfare secretary Ervin Castillo Arancibia, who highlighted the project’s alignment with President José Antonio Kast’s goal of bringing state services closer to citizens.

In Talca, the municipal Therapeutic and Neurodivergence Center opened to provide comprehensive care for children and adolescents with neurodivergent conditions. The 536‑square‑meter facility, funded jointly by the Ministry of Health, the Service of Health of Maule, and the municipality, can serve about 300 users per month. Mayor Juan Carlos Díaz, Health Minister May Chomali, and representatives of the University of Talca attended the inauguration, emphasizing the center’s multidisciplinary team and its role in supporting families.
