Maule Regional Government achieves 93.3% transparency compliance

The Maule Regional Government (GORE) achieved a 93.3% compliance rate in an active transparency audit conducted by the Council for Transparency (CPLT). This result places the region 11th among Chile's 16 regional governments and represents a 3.4 percentage point increase from 2025.

Despite the overall improvement, the audit identified gaps in information regarding subsidies, benefits, and citizen participation mechanisms. Notably, the GORE failed to publish reports on the execution of resources from the Regional Fund for Productivity and Development, which is financed by mining royalties. Natalia González, president of the CPLT, emphasized that citizens have a right to know how these specific funds are utilized and which projects they finance.
