Maura Higgins has shared details regarding her experience on the US version of Dancing With The Stars, describing a recent period as one of her toughest. Higgins revealed on Instagram that she performed while feeling unwell and running on very little energy while attempting to learn two dances.

To illustrate the reality behind the scenes, Higgins shared photos including one showing an IV drip in her arm. She noted that while she tied for the lowest score during the recent episode, she is focused on personal growth and stepping outside her comfort zone, despite having no prior background as a dancer or athlete.

Higgins also expressed gratitude to her professional partner, Mark Ballas, for his patience and encouragement during the difficult week. She clarified that her post was not intended to seek sympathy or make excuses, but to provide a realistic view of the competition.
