Spaten Fight Night 3 to feature Shogun vs. Glover Teixeira

The third edition of Spaten Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, the 29th, at the Mercado Livre Arena Pacaembu in São Paulo. The event features a diverse combat sports card, including the addition of judo and jiu-jitsu alongside the main boxing attraction.

In the headline boxing match, MMA legends Maurício Shogun Rua and Glover Teixeira will face each other for the first time. Shogun has emphasized that the bout is a serious competition rather than an exhibition, expressing his intention to seek a knockout victory.

The judo lineup includes Olympic champions Rafaela Silva, facing Prisca Awiti Alcaraz, and Bia Souza, who will rematch her 2024 Olympic final against Israel's Raz Hershko. The jiu-jitsu segment will feature Nicholas Meregali and Felipe 'Preguiça' Pena.

Prior to the main event, a public training session was held at Arpoador beach in Rio de Janeiro, which included professional fighters and actors Chay Suede and João Vicente de Castro participating in drills.
