Maurice Malone transfers from SK Sturm Graz to Minnesota United
Maurice Malone has officially transferred from SK Sturm Graz to Minnesota United FC in Major League Soccer (MLS). The 26-year-old forward, a dual German/American citizen, joins the American club with a contract running through the 2029-30 season, including a club option for 2030-31.
Malone joined Sturm Graz from Austria Wien at the start of the 2025 season for a reported fee of 2 million euros. During his tenure in Graz, he appeared in approximately 40 competitive matches, recording 4 goals and 3 assists.
Sturm Graz sporting director Michael Parensen praised Malone’s professionalism and conduct during his time with the club, noting that while sporting developments do not always meet original expectations, the club is pleased to have found a solution beneficial for all parties. Malone expressed excitement for the new challenge in the MLS after describing his past year as personally difficult.
