Mauricio Canseco launches book on social investment in Mexico

On 19 August 2026, the Casa Cemefi in Mexico City hosted the presentation of *Inversión Social: sin fines de lucro, con mucho valor*, authored by Mauricio Canseco, director of Fundación COMUNIDAR. The event gathered social‑sector specialists to discuss how to measure and sustain transformative impact beyond charity. In a moderated dialogue, Canseco conversed with Alejandra Angarita (Director of Strategic Development, Fundación Diez Morodo), Laura Ortiz (Director of Purpose and co‑founder of SVX México), and Ricardo Bucio (Executive President of Cemefi). Participants explored methodologies for turning intent into measurable, lasting change and emphasized the need for tools that help funders, businesses, and governments design and evaluate social‑investment initiatives.

The presentation aimed to provide decision‑makers with practical frameworks for assessing social impact, fostering a reflective space for the Mexican social‑investment ecosystem. Attendance was open to those interested in improving the design, implementation, and evaluation of social initiatives across the country.
