Mauricio Lambiris' Ford Mustang Catches Fire in San Juan Turismo Carretera Race

During the Desafío de las Estrellas at the San Juan Villicum circuit in Argentina, the Ford Mustang driven by Uruguayan racer Mauricio Lambiris ignited while refueling in the pit lane. Lambiris quickly exited the vehicle and, together with the Martínez Competición crew, escaped without injuries. The fire was extinguished by safety personnel before it could spread.

The incident occurred as Lambiris, who had set the fastest practice time, was starting the race from the 51st position due to the event's draw system. The Asociación Corredores Turismo Carretera (ACTC) has opened an investigation into the cause of the blaze.
