Mauricio Novelli resumes selling trading courses after Libra scandal
Mauricio Novelli, a trader linked to the Libra cryptocurrency scandal, has returned to social media to promote his trading courses. In recent videos, Novelli attributes his financial success to luck, claiming to have had “a lot of luck in the more than 200 operations I made.”
The Libra project, which saw its token price surge toward five dollars before abruptly collapsing on February 14, 2025, is currently under judicial investigation. The collapse resulted in an estimated 100 million dollars being withdrawn from liquidity funds by specific digital wallets, a maneuver described by victims as a “rug pull.”
Novelli’s involvement is being scrutinized by authorities as they investigate potential coordinated maneuvers and his connections to the project's developers. The investigation includes examining communications between Novelli, President Javier Milei, and General Secretary Karina Milei during the token's launch. Novelli, a founder of the N&W Professional Traders academy, had previously maintained a low profile following the incident.
