Mauricio Pochettino praises Jonathan David ahead of US-Canada friendly

Ahead of a friendly match between the United States and Canada, USMNT manager Mauricio Pochettino praised Canadian striker Jonathan David, describing him as ‘one of the greatest strikers in the world today.’

David, who currently plays for Atlético Madrid, has maintained strong form following his move to LaLiga, scoring in his first three league matches. He also recently scored the winning goal for Canada in a 1-0 victory over Chile. Pochettino noted that David had been on his radar during his time at Lille and emphasized that the U.S. team must remain focused on him during their upcoming encounter.

The match serves as part of an international window where both teams are looking to consolidate their identities. The United States enters the fixture following a 3-0 win against Mexico.
