Mauritania holds 15th General Assembly for Industry, Mines and Energy

The Minister of Mines and Industry, Dy Ould Zeine, presided over the 15th Ordinary General Assembly of the Mauritanian Federation of Industry, Mines and Energy in Nouakchott. The assembly serves as a platform to analyze the strategic transformation of the national economy.

Minister Zeine highlighted a strategic vision focused on converting natural resources into sustainable wealth to increase value addition and create jobs, particularly for youth. He noted progress in sector reforms and restructuring, supported by the promulgation of Law No. 034-2025 and new regulatory texts designed to protect investors and consumers.

Additional developments mentioned include the national barcode project to enhance the international presence of Mauritanian products, the creation of a comprehensive industrial map covering all regions, and advancements in industrial property and patents.
