Mauritania reports widespread rainfall across multiple regions

The Mauritanian Ministry of Interior, Decentralization and Local Development reported varying levels of rainfall across several regions on October 3 and 4.

In the Hodh Ech Chargui region, rainfall was recorded in several districts, including Nema, Adel Ckrou, Amdrj, Tanbdagha, and Jigney. Notable amounts included 80 mm in Lghata and 40 mm in both Magam al-Taysir and Ras al-Fil.

The Hodh El Gharbi region saw significant precipitation, particularly in the Tamiskot district, where Zleikha recorded 150 mm, Arkhamia 120 mm, and Al-Beid 110 mm. In the Laayoune district, Rabina Sidi Jed Ahlo recorded 90 mm.

In the Assaba region, heavy rainfall was concentrated in the Kankoussa district, with several locations such as Adfia Ain al-Salam 2 and Ahl Sekka recording 150 mm. Other areas in Kankoussa, including Ahl Hamah, recorded amounts exceeding 140 mm.
