Mauritius Finance Minister Opens ICSI Governance Conference

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India inaugurated its 5th International Conference in Mauritius on 3 August 2026. The event was opened by Dr the Hon Mrs Jyoti Jeetun, Minister of Financial Services and Economic Planning of Mauritius, with Mr Anurag Srivastava, High Commissioner of India, serving as Guest of Honour. The three‑day conference, themed “Strengthening Governance in a VUCA World,” featured sessions on geopolitics and board risk oversight, sustainability for inclusive growth, and the India‑Mauritius partnership as a strategic gateway to Africa.

A study tour of the Mauritian Ministry of Financial Services and Economic Planning is scheduled for 5 August, and ICSI announced a Global Governance Conference to be held in Mumbai on 8‑9 January 2027. Speakers from both countries highlighted the role of company secretaries in enhancing transparency, accountability, and cross‑border investment.
