Mauritius weather: wind gusts and rough seas reported

Mauritius is experiencing unsettled weather characterized by occasional rain showers, wind gusts, and rough sea conditions. An instability line is moving westward, though dry air is preventing major weather degradation.

Forecasts indicate wind speeds of approximately 20 km/h from the east, with gusts reaching up to 50 km/h in exposed areas. Occasional showers are expected, particularly in the East, South, and on the central plateau, with fog likely in higher elevations during the night.

Temperatures are slightly above average, with coastal highs between 26 and 29 °C and highland highs between 21 and 24 °C. Due to strong swells of approximately 3 to 3.5 meters beyond the reefs, authorities advise against outings in the lagoons of the East, West, and South.
